Category: Tuber succulents

These are 3 years or older mature adult Lithops plants capable of producing flowers, making them excellent specimens for succulent collectors. Native to South Africa, Lithops grow among rocks or soil of the same color as their two succulent leaves. These small plants store water in their fleshy leaves, but they are not related to cacti.

Specifications: - Live Lithops Plant (Random species with various patterns and colors) - Pack of 3 - Plant Size: 3 years or older, Diameter: 0.8-1.2 Inches

The Lithops plants will be shipped bare root (unpotted). When watering, ensure plants are kept barely moist to prevent overwatering, which is a common problem with Living Stones. Water lightly and infrequently during cold winter months, increasing watering once the days grow longer and the temperature warms up. Generally, water Lithops about once every 2-3 weeks when not in active growth or flowering. Tap water or distilled water is suitable.

For light, Lithops require full to very bright sun (direct or indirect), but be cautious of sunburn on the leaves. After repotting, allow 5-7 days for the plant to acclimate to changes in light quality. A window facing West, South, or East should provide adequate light.

Use a quick-draining soil mix for Lithops, such as a cactus and succulent mix with added sand or a mix of peat moss and perlite for faster drainage.

It is important to note that Lithops require two or more plants for pollination to produce seeds. Different species and varieties of Lithops exhibit varying colors and patterns on their leaves.

Check the plant size before purchasing, as these are mature adult plants. Our Lithops are shipped bare root and individually wrapped.

Growing Lithops may be more challenging and require more attention compared to other succulents and cacti. Depending on the growing season, Lithops may naturally split or crack, resulting in scars on the sides and tops of the plants. This is a natural process and does not indicate that the plant is dying. The scarring will be shed when the Lithops split, as part of their natural growth cycle.
