The fire cactus, also known as pencil cactus, milkbush, or sticks on fire, is a plant that thrives in sunlight and requires minimal watering. When exposed to sunlight, the tops of its stems turn a vibrant red color. It is an excellent choice for a houseplant in colder climates and can be planted outdoors in zones 9a and above.
This listing includes two fresh 6” cuttings taken from the mother plant. The cut end of the cuttings should be allowed to callous before rooting, a process that is typically completed during shipping. Once calloused, the cuttings can be directly rooted in well-draining soil.
The item is shipped with the specific purpose of allowing the cut end to dry out and callous during transportation.
